Welded mesh — often called 358 mesh after its aperture spacing — is the workhorse of modern security fencing. The mesh is tight enough that fingers and standard tools can't get a purchase to climb or to cut easily, and it gives clear through-vision so CCTV and patrols can see the line. It's rigid, hard to deform, and powder-coated over hot-dip galvanising for a long service life. Palisade is the traditional heavy-duty choice: vertical steel pales bolted to horizontal rails on robust posts, with pointed or rounded tops. It's physically intimidating, very hard to climb, and stands up to sustained attack and vehicle-adjacent knocks. Where a site needs security but also a presentable face — corporate premises, healthcare and education frontages, retail parks — vertical-bar steel railings give a cleaner, architectural look while still being difficult to climb and resistant to attack. Bar spacing, height, and topper detail are specified to the security level needed. It's the option that balances looking professional from the road with genuinely controlling access.

A perimeter is only as strong as its weakest point, which is usually the top line and the gates. We fit toppers appropriate to the site — rotating anti-climb spikes, barbed or razor toppers where permitted, or extended palings — and match security gates (swing, sliding, or cantilever) to the fence so the entrance isn't the easy way in.
